This two-year project will repair all the balconies on the building. There are two buildings that sit side by side with a pool deck and tennis court on the 6 th floor in between the buildings. Concrete repairs of the piers on the St. George Bridge
Description:
The project includes performing concrete repairs on Piers 1N and 1S which are located within the C&D Canal which is a tidal body of water. The challenge was to develop a way to access the pier to be able to work efficiently. Working from a manlift located out on a barge was an option, but would be a very inefficient way to repair piers of this size. Northeast Mast Climbers approached JD Eckman with equipment that would solve the access challenge, but would need platforms mounted on the face of the piers in order to build the scaffold from. JD Eckman designed, fabricated and installed steel platforms on the pier faces to allow the scaffold system to be installed. A crane out on a barge is utilized to remove concrete debris from the scaffold platform. A temporary bridge was designed and erected by JD Eckman to allow Masonry Resurfacing employees to access the mast climber system from the bank of the canal Instead of having to access by boat or barge.

Installation of curtain wall/panel system
Description:
After a fire destroyed the south side of the building, Northeast Mast Climbers provided a solution of a dual twin on one set of mast to expedite the completion. This twin system allowed two contractors to work on demolition of the damaged panels/curtain wall. Once the installation of the new system began, this dual system proved invaluable, it allowed one company to replace all the bolts that held the structural steel to the shear wall (damaged in the fire), while allowing APG International to install the new curtain wall/panel system.
